I’m Wenfeng Xing, a software engineer based in Montreal.
I care about building software that helps people make better long-term decisions. My interests sit at the intersection of software engineering, finance, and knowledge management.
This site is my public working space. It collects projects, essays, experiments, and lessons learned while building products over time.
What you’ll find here
- Projects that begin as personal tools and gradually become products.
- Writing about software, finance, and learning in public.
- Notes that help me think more clearly about systems, decisions, and time.
Current direction
Recently I’ve been focusing less on code for its own sake, and more on building things that remain useful over years. That usually means slower thinking, clearer interfaces, and systems that preserve context instead of discarding it.
Why this website exists
I wanted a place that could grow with my work: not just a profile page, and not only a blog, but a long-lived home for projects, writing, and ideas in progress.
If something here is useful to you, I’m glad it found you.
